How to book sessions: Contact the Hart Volunteer Centre by phone or by dropping in (our opening times are 9.00-14.00 Tuesdays and Thursdays).
IT equipment:Learners need to bring their own tablet (ipad) / laptop or smart phone as this ensures that they can familiarise themselves with their own equipment.
Type of IT tasks supported: This really depends on the learner, but the types of support could be: understanding how to use your lap-top or tablet, setting up and using an e-mail account, how to carry out internet searches or specific internet such as internet shopping, completing forms online or connecting with others on Zoom.
Volunteers: Our volunteers range in age and expertise and knowledge, so we will match you with the most suitable volunteers for your requirements.
Waiting times: As the IT sessions can continue for as long as the learner needs support, there may be a delay before you can start your IT lessons. Please enquire about this.
Session costs: We ask for £10 per hourly session (concessions are available) – this covers volunteers’ travel expenses and a contribution to the running of our Volunteer Centre.
