Time Banks provide a way for the community to exchange skills, experience and interests. Individuals and organisations earn time credits by giving practical help and support to others and then spend their credits when they need some help themselves.
For example, by helping an elderly neighbour with their ironing for an hour, or walking someone’s dog, you can earn 1 time credit – you could then spend this credit when another member of the time bank helps you for an hour, perhaps by pulling together a CV or with helping you tackle your overgrown garden! It’s ad hoc, with no commitment and open to all.
We will be able to talk to you more about how you or your organisation can benefit from Time 4 Hart membership.
Interested, you can always give the Time 4 Hart team a call on 01252 627070 or drop into the Hart Volunteer Centre in Hart Shopping Centre (Mondays – Thursdays 10.00-3.00) to find out more. Or see the Time Bank page on our web-site.
Hart Voluntary Action would like to thank Fleet Town Council and Timebanking UK for their grant contributions towards the setting up of the Time 4 Hart Time Bank.
