New Sports Reminiscence Group comes to Yateley

Starting in SEPTEMBER:  Free Weekly Sporting Memories Network Group held at the Hampshire Lakes Retirement Village in Yateley every Tuesday 2.00 -4.00 pm

Sporting Memories Network groups support older people, predominately isolated men living with dementia, depression or loneliness, providing memories of great games, sporting legends and marvelous victories but also the friendships made and the sense of community that playing or watching sports brings. Talking about sporting events and cultures of the time helps to give people their identity back and reconnect them to the people and generations around them.

The Groups are structured in 2 halves with the 1st half based around sporting reminiscence, half time refreshments and the 2nd half being inclusive physical activities.
