On Monday the 19th of June we’ll be launching a new health walk for Hart district. The start time will be 10:30am. The start point for this walk will be Blackwater and Hawley Leisure Centre (we’ll meet in the large car park by the netball courts – what3words ///gosh.slang.essay)
Address is: Hawley Green, Blackwater, Camberley, GU17 9BW.
Feel free to join us on this new walk and new walkers in Blackwater feel free to pop along. All we ask is that new walkers fill in a short registration form (found here) before the walk commences, so do arrive a few minutes early. The walk will hopefully last around 1 hour and will be around 2.5 miles.
It will be completely free of charge and it will be led by one of our dedicated and trained volunteers. The walk will be heading up into the MOD land so suitable footwear (sturdy trainers will be fine) for paths and tracks should be worn. Also, be suitably attired for the weather conditions on the day!
We’ll finish with a cuppa at the coffee shop on the green which is located at our start point. It will give you the chance (should you wish) to have a chat and a cuppa. Tea and coffee can be purchased here directly from the coffee shop on the green.
This new location will be trialled for a few weeks to gauge interest in the local area. Hopefully this will then take place every Monday at 10.30am from the 19th June onwards (excluding bank holidays).
The setting up of the Blackwater Health Walk has been supported by a Sport England “Investing in Communities Grant” via Energise Me, the support charity for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight sports and physical activity organisations.
