Hart and Rushmoor Young Carers Assistant –part-time.  Locations: Fleet, Yateley and Farnborough

 FTE Salary: £20,371 per annum pa + pension + mileage allowance.  

Fixed- term contract initially for 6 months (holidays to be taken during school holidays)

Part-time (10 hours) per week (Post could be split into 2 posts)

Hart Voluntary Action, who manage the Hart and Rushmoor Young Carers project are looking for a part-time Assistant(s) to support the running of 2 young carers term-time clubs in Farnborough (7-12 years) Wednesday evenings and Yateley (13 years+) Monday evenings.

The project works with children and young people aged 7-18 years who are identified as having a caring role for a member of their family, which qualifies them as a young carer.  Support is provided at respite clubs (term-time only) and by offering outings and residential trips during the year.  The Assistant(s) will work with other staff and volunteers to ensure that young carers enjoy their time out at clubs by engaging them in a range of activities from cooking, crafts and physical activities.

The Assistan(s)t will help with arranging transport and other practical arrangements related to organising clubs and other outings, and assist other staff with other administrative duties as required.  Previous experience of working with children and young people and organising children and young people’s activities is essential.  Access to own transport is also essential.  This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Scheme (DBS) Check.
