Half-Term Free Meals for Hart Children

Hart businesses and community organisations have met the Marcus Rashford challenge to prevent local children from going hungry this October half-term.  From packed lunches courtesy of Hawley Football Club to curries from the Spice Merchant in Crookham Village, local people have come together once again to demonstrate their support for our community.

Hampshire County Council has announced a funding package for food banks, charities and other organisations, to help vulnerable children and families – at a similar level to the Government’s previous free school meal voucher scheme.

Hart District Council is also supporting local residents in need through government-funded discretionary grants schemes.
