Hart Voluntary Action has been awarded funding as part of the Hampshire County Council Supporting Families Programme to provide a Family Therapy Service in the Districts of Hart and Rushmoor.
The service will be available for families who want support with Mental Health and communication. It will allow a family to have sessions together as well as individual Counselling being available to support parents. Young people will continue to be supported individually as part of our Youth Counselling provisions and there will be a provision for play therapy for 5 – 10 year olds.

As part of this service we are looking to take on students who want a placement working in a Family Therapy service. Students will need to be working towards a qualification that includes a Family and/or Systemic Psychotherapy element or equivalent.
The Placement Family Worker will be expected to offer 3 hours a week minimum and provide assessment and family sessions. Sessions will be held at locations across the Hart and Rushmoor districts. All students will be supervised by a fully qualified supervisor and Family Therapist who will support them in their work.
