Hart Voluntary Action is a local charity which supports the local voluntary and community sector in Hart by offering one-to-one information and guidance, training, information updates, networking opportunities and volunteer recruitment. Our aim is to help voluntary and community organisations sustain or improve their own capacity to deliver services and activities for the local community.

  • The next North Hampshire Volunteers’ Forum takes place on Thursday 27 October, 1 – 3 pm at Hart Voluntary Action, Civic Offices, Harlington Way, Fleet, GU51 4AE. The forum is an opportunity for all managers of volunteers to come together to share information, training and useful tips on recruitment, retention and management of volunteers. Previous forums have included training on DBS checks and use of social media.
    In October, the 3 Volunteer centres from Basingstoke, Hart and Rushmoor will be introducing their new volunteer management system and web platform, “Volunteer North Hampshire”. Since the changes at Do-it in early 2015 there has been an increasing need for a robust and efficient system and we will be delighted to demonstrate and discuss how this will offer a better service both to organisation and to volunteers, as well as helping us reduce inefficient administration tasks and give more time to the sector.

    Hart Voluntary Sector Forum: New support opportunities for the local voluntary and community sector
    A Local Lottery for Hart?  -  Andrew Vallance, Head of Corporate Services and Katie Bailey, Corporate Strategy and Policy Development Manager - Hart District Council – will present on a proposal to set up a Lottery to benefit local good causes in Hart District.

    Connect with your Community –web-site building and hosting service Kate Ricketts, Research and Community Development -  HugoFox – will present on their community web-site programme for not-for-profit groups (including parish councils), which is free and easy to use for the non-specialists.  

    Evening briefing  session on building your own web-site with HugoFox trainer - Thursday, 24th November at Hart Civic Offices 18.00-20.00.  Call 01252 815652 to book a place.
