Hart Voluntary Action
Welcome to Hart Voluntary Action. We are a membership organisation providing services and support such as information, liaison, representation, development work and training for voluntary and community groups in the Hart District and surrounding areas.
Membership is free and organisations that join can raise their profile in the community and have increased access to other networks. Just take a look at this website to get a flavour of all the help that we can provide.
So if you are setting up or running a voluntary or community group, contact us now and get the advice and support you need to make your organisation a success!
HVA also manages the Hart Volunteer Bureau which promotes through its database, its membership organisations and their volunteering opportunities.
Independent Safeguarding Authority -
An upcoming information evening about the new Vetting and Barring Scheme on 29th June, arranged by Hart Voluntary Action, is cancelled as the Scheme is now on hold pending review by the new government. New Online Grants Database for Voluntary and Community Groups in Hart
Hart District Council's Communities and Partnerships service is sponsoring an online funding
database for local community groups in the district to access. Hart 4 Community is the funding
support website to local groups: go to www.open4community.info/hart register and carry out
searches on funding sources in the following categories - government, National Lottery,
charitable trusts and local funding sources.
If any group would like help to be taken through this web database, please contact:
Caroline Winchurch
E-mail - membership@hartvolaction.org.uk
Telephone - 01252 815652
and she can arrange a short training session for small groups. Equally, Caroline is happy to
come out and visit your group and talk you through the search process step by step. Please
note HVA will have access to a more in-depth version of this database and can download
more detailed information in report form if required (particularly helpful for groups who are
less familiar withthe internet).
We will be keeping a check on how well this resource is used to feed back to Hart District
Council for future use, so please do give the website a try and let us know how you get on.
